Shield™ Ceramic Base is a base and color in one, in a range of natural-looking shades with good coverage. With wear time of up to 28 days, it allows nail extensions of up to 2 mm or small repairs.
The formula has a firm, gel-like structure that does not crack even on long or soft nails, and holds its shape for the entire wear time. Its thick consistency does not drip or run into the cuticles, and it self-levels to build a smooth, well-shaped nail. It can be used either in a thin layer or as a builder base.
Key Features
- Shade: #928 Light Rose
- Size: 15 ml / 0.5 fl oz bottle
- Base and color in one, with up to 28 days of wear
- Builds extensions up to 2 mm or makes small repairs
- Thick, self-leveling consistency that will not flood the cuticle
- HEMA-free — less likely to cause skin itching and redness than HEMA-containing bases

Product Use
- Prepare the nail surface and apply a thin layer of Shield™ Ceramic Base. Cure for 60 seconds in an LED or UV/LED lamp.
- Apply a thicker layer to create the nail apex and cure in the lamp.
- Finish with the Shield™ top coat of your choice.
Pro tip: If you already know you will be changing the color at the next appointment, apply a thin layer of Shield™ Rubber Base before the Ceramic Base and cure. That lets you change color without removing the product from the natural nail entirely.
Removal: File off until completely removed. Alternatively, file off the majority of the material, then soak off in an acetone remover such as Red Lizard until completely removed.
